# Notifications

> Stay updated on games, friends, and community activity

Buzzr keeps you in the loop with smart push notifications so you never miss a moment. The server is the single source of truth for delivery — preferences sync across all your devices.

## Managing Notifications

You can manage your notification preferences from **Profile Settings → Notifications**. Each category can be toggled independently, and quiet hours can be configured to silence non-critical pushes overnight.

## Notification Categories

### Game Alerts

Get notified about games that matter to you:

* **Game Start** — Your favorite teams are tipping off
* **Close Games** — Games within a tight margin entering the final stretch
* **Game Final** — Final scores for games you're following
* **Overtime** — Games heading to extra time
* **Wishlist** — Games on your watch wishlist starting soon

### Social Activity

Stay connected with your community:

* **New Follower** — Someone started following you
* **Follow Requests** — Approval prompts for private profiles
* **Mentions** — When someone tags you in a chat or comment

### Group Chat

* **New Messages** — Messages in your active group chats and DMs
* **Reactions** — Reactions on messages you sent

### Brackets & Predictions

Track your competition performance:

* **Bracket Updates** — Round results and score changes
* **Pick Reminders** — Bracket and confidence-pool deadlines approaching
* **Prediction Settled** — Your pre-game prediction is ready to confirm or revise
* **Leaderboard Movement** — Ranking changes in your groups

### NBA Playoffs (during the event window)

* **Clutch Notifs** — Live games entering crunch time
* **Daily Quest** — Today's playoff quest reminder
* **Game 7 Frenzy** — Series-deciding games
* **Series Script Settled** — Your script prediction outcome

## Favorite Teams

By favoriting teams in the app, you'll automatically receive notifications for their games. Add favorites from any game detail screen or through your profile settings.

## Quiet Hours

Set a daily quiet window in **Profile Settings → Notifications → Quiet Hours**. Time-sensitive game pushes still arrive during quiet hours; everything else queues until the window closes.
