# Pollen

> Buzzr's virtual currency earned through community engagement

Pollen is Buzzr's in-app currency. Earn it through daily activity, ratings, predictions, brackets, and group activity — and track every transaction in the Pollen Wallet.

## Getting Started

Every new user starts with **1,000 Pollen**. Open the app each day to claim your daily bonus.

## How to Earn Pollen

## Tournament boosts

During major tournaments (March Madness, NBA Playoffs, FIFA World Cup), bracket and picks-related actions earn boosted Pollen for the event window:

* **2× multiplier** on bracket actions (submit, confidence / survivor pick, share, host group)
* **1.5× multiplier** on all other activities

## The Pollen Wallet

The Pollen Wallet screen surfaces:

* Your current Pollen balance
* A full **transaction history** with timestamps and source
* Earn / spend itemization

Open it from the Pollen badge anywhere in the app.

## Spending Pollen

Today, Pollen primarily represents your engagement footprint — it powers your level, your streak status, and your leaderboard rank. A Pollen-wagering layer for predictions is on the roadmap.

## Bankruptcy Protection

If your balance drops below **50 Pollen**, you can claim a **250 Pollen refill** once every 24 hours. Everyone gets a second chance.
