# Brackets

> Build your bracket and compete during major tournaments

Brackets are Buzzr's tournament prediction feature. During March Madness, the NBA Playoffs, the FIFA World Cup, and other major events, create bracket entries and compete with friends and the community.

## How Brackets Work

1. **Create an entry** — Pick winners for every matchup in the tournament
2. **Set confidence levels** — Indicate which picks you're most confident about
3. **Lock in** — Picks lock at each game's tipoff time
4. **Score points** — Earn points for each correct pick, with later rounds worth more

## March Madness — 7 rounds

For NCAAM March Madness, the bracket spans 7 rounds:

| Round 1 | Round of 64  |
| Round 2 | Round of 32  |
| Round 3 | Sweet 16     |
| Round 4 | Elite Eight  |
| Round 5 | Final Four   |
| Round 6 | Championship |
| Round 7 | Finals       |

Points increase with each round, so getting the later picks right matters more.

## NBA Playoffs — series brackets

The NBA Playoffs add a different bracket model: **series picks** instead of single-game picks. For each round you predict:

* **Winner of the series**
* **Number of games** (4–7)
* **Series MVP** — picked from a player grid (MVP Oracle)
* **Series script** — predict the order of game outcomes for bonus points

In addition, each series contributes to live gamification:

* **Daily Quest** — One playoff-themed task each day
* **Win Probability** — Live updates during games
* **Clutch Notifs** — Pings during fourth-quarter or extra-time crunch
* **Series Momentum** — A momentum pill on each series card
* **Game 7 Frenzy** — A special badge and 2× Pollen modifier on series-deciding games

## Bracket Groups

Create or join groups to compete with friends:

* **Create a group** with a custom name and emoji
* **Share a join code** to invite friends
* **Group leaderboard** shows rankings within your circle
* **Share your bracket** — friends can view your picks even without joining your group

## Scoring

Your bracket score is calculated based on:

* Number of correct picks per round
* Confidence level of correct picks
* Total accumulated points across all rounds

For series brackets (Playoffs), additional points come from correct game-count, MVP picks, and series-script accuracy.

## Earning XP and Pollen
