# Rules

> Community guidelines and moderation policies

Buzzr is built for sports fans. These rules keep our community a place where everyone feels welcome to share their passion.

## Civility and Comment Guidelines

Members must maintain respectful interactions at all times. The following are not tolerated:

* **Threats or harm** — Threatening, suggesting harm, or personally insulting other members results in an immediate ban
* **Discriminatory language** — Racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise hateful content is automatically removed
* **Flame bait** — Excessive trash talk designed to provoke others rather than discuss sports
* **Misinformation** — Sharing harmful misinformation on topics like health or politics
* **Doxxing** — Sharing another person's identifying details is strictly forbidden

## Enforcement

Rather than issuing warnings, moderators use bans as the primary enforcement tool. However, banned users can appeal by contacting our support team for potential reinstatement after addressing problematic behavior.

## Additional Rules

The platform has zero-tolerance policies for:

* **Spam accounts** — Novelty accounts that spam or derail discussions
* **Graphic content** — Violent, graphic imagery, or adult material
* **Spoilers** — Deliberate spoiling without appropriate context
* **Offensive usernames** — Usernames receive the same scrutiny as comments — offensive names result in permanent bans

## Reporting

If you see content that violates these rules, use the **Report** button. Report reasons include:

* Spam
* Harassment
* Hate speech
* Violence
* Misinformation
* Other

## Our Promise

We're building an inclusive environment where people of all backgrounds feel welcome to participate in the love of sports. Keep it about the game.
