Confidence Pools add another layer to Buzzr’s tournament experience. Instead of just picking winners, rank how confident you are in each pick.

How It Works

  1. Pick winners for each matchup in the round
  2. Assign confidence points — Give your most confident pick the highest points
  3. Score — If your pick wins, you earn the confidence points you assigned
  4. Highest total wins the round

Scoring

The more confident you are in a correct pick, the more points you earn. But if your highest-confidence pick loses, you miss out on big points. For example, if there are 8 games in a round:
  • Assign 8 points to your most confident pick
  • Assign 1 point to your least confident pick
  • Each number (1–8) can only be used once

Strategy

  • Stack high points on safe picks — Put your highest confidence on the surest things
  • Low points on toss-ups — Save low numbers for games that could go either way
  • Don’t chase upsets with high confidence — A wrong pick at 8 points hurts more than a wrong pick at 1

Weekly Scoring

Confidence pools score on a weekly basis during tournaments, with leaderboard rankings updated after each round of games.

Earning XP

Each confidence pick earns you 8 XP, regardless of whether your pick is correct. Making picks keeps you engaged and leveling up.
