Buzzr’s chat tab is built for sports fans. Group chats and DMs live in one inbox, with reactions, full-text search, and direct sharing of games, players, news, and rating cards.

Chat tab

The chat tab has two sections:
  • Groups — Multi-person rooms you create or join
  • DMs — One-on-one direct messages with friends and squad members
Both share the same composer, the same reactions, and the same search.

Group chats

Create a group from the chat tab or from a game card:
  • Name the group and optionally set a cover
  • Add members via search by username, #TAG, or follow list
  • Pin the group for fast access during a live game
  • Share an invite link for friends to join

Reactions

Long-press any message to react. Reactions use an iMessage-style popup with a quick row of common reactions plus an emoji picker. Reactions show as chips under the message and update in real time. Search across every conversation from the chat tab. Tap a result to jump to the exact message in context. Results highlight matching terms and show the surrounding window of messages.

Swipe-to-clear

Swipe a chat row to clear (hide) a conversation. New messages bring it back automatically — your chat list stays focused on what’s active.

Sharing into a chat

From any game, player, news article, take-style rating, or rating card, tap Share → Send in Chat to push it into a 1:1 DM or group. Shared cards become rich preview chips inside the conversation, with deep links back to the source entity.

Notifications

  • New Messages in active chats
  • Reactions on your messages
  • Per-category controls in Profile Settings → Notifications
  • Quiet-hours support — non-critical messages defer until the window closes
