Swarm is Buzzr’s social feed — a personalized stream of friend activity, league pulse, and community ratings that re-ranks as you swipe through games and follow more fans.

What appears in your Swarm

  • Friends’ ratings and predictions for the games they care about
  • Squad activity — new picks, bracket entries, group-chat highlights
  • News for the leagues you follow
  • Live tipoff and game-final events for your favorite teams
  • Power moments — community-rated games surfacing as they cross thresholds

How it ranks

Swarm uses a personalization scorer that re-ranks based on:
  • Who you follow and which squads you’re in
  • The leagues and teams you favorite
  • Your swipe and dismissal patterns
  • Recency of the underlying event
  • Live-game state (live games surface higher than finals)
The result: your Swarm feels like your sports feed, not a generic timeline.

Filters

The Swarm header has filter chips:
  • All — Default mixed feed
  • My Posts — Just your own ratings, predictions, and picks
  • Squads — Only your squad activity
  • League — Filter to a specific league

Actions on a Swarm card

  • React to a friend’s rating or prediction
  • Tap to see the underlying game or entity
  • Long-press to share the card into a chat
  • Swipe to dismiss or save for later

Performance

Swarm fetches in pages and recycles cards as you scroll. When the screen goes off-screen, the live arena background pauses to save battery. Card gradients are memoized and re-render windows are tight, so scrolling stays smooth even on a long session.
