Predictions on Buzzr are about how good the game will be — not who wins. Use the same 1–10 slider you use for rating, but submit it before tipoff.

How Predictions Work

  1. Open any upcoming game
  2. Move the 1–10 slider to your predicted entertainment score
  3. Add an optional take explaining your pick (up to 140 characters)
  4. Submit — your prediction stays private until the game ends

After the Game

When the final buzzer sounds, you’ll get a post-game notification:
  • Confirm — Lock your prediction in as your official rating
  • Revise — Update the score now that you’ve seen the game
  • Skip — Discard the prediction entirely
Unconfirmed predictions never publish, so there’s no penalty for picking early and changing your mind.

Why Predict?

  • Stake your take early — Call a classic before anyone else notices
  • Build a track record — Accurate predictors climb the prediction leaderboards
  • Earn rewards — Predictions that convert into ratings earn the standard 15 XP + 15 Pollen

Series & Playoff Picks

During playoff series and major tournaments, Buzzr also surfaces:
  • Series picks — Round winner, number of games (4–7), series MVP from a player grid
  • Series Script — Predict the exact order of game outcomes for a bonus
  • Quick picks — Short-form matchup picks with confidence weighting
These feed into bracket and leaderboard surfaces in Compete.

Coming Soon

A Pollen-wagering layer (spread-style picks, prop markets, and parlays) is on the roadmap. Today’s predictions are free to submit — no Pollen at risk.
No form of prediction on Buzzr involves real money. Pollen is a virtual currency with no cash value.
